Energizer readies 26 smartphone models for Mobile World Congress”

Energizer Mobile, the company better known for its durable mobile devices and long lasting accessorize has announced that it will reveal 26 new smartphones including Two Pop-up Camera phone, a Foldable phone and a smartphone with 18,000mAh battery at MWC 2019 at the Congress Square Hall (#CS 96) from the 25th to the 28th of February.

The 26 new phones that Energizer will unveil at MWC later this month will be a part of its Energy, Hardcase, Ultimate, and Power Max ranges. One of the Power Max smartphones holds a huge 18,000mAH battery.

What is interesting is the fact that we'll be getting a foldable phone, in addition to ones with waterdrop notches and pop-out cameras. Energizer is claiming to launch 26 new smartphones at MWC 2019 under different series.

Both the model will have dual selfie pop-up cameras including a 16MP main camera with a 2MP depth sensor. The rear-facing camera setups are a mix of dual-lens and triple-lens cameras, with battery sizes topping out at 4,000mAh. Instead, the selfie camera is in a motorized pop-up at the top of the smartphone. "The Energizer Ultimate U620S is said to feature a 6.2" 1080p+ screen. Of the three handsets, the Energizer Power Max P16K Pro had in a way stolen the show as it packed a massive 16,000mAh non-removable battery.

The flagship U260S Pop is set to offer a Helio P70 chipset, 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage. For comparison, your standard smartphone battery is about 3,000mAh.

You might have never heard of Energizer before but it's one of the world's largest manufacturers of batteries.

According to the GSMArena report, the U630S will launch in June, followed by the U620S in July. Oppo's smartphone sales grew 6.8% 29.2 million in the final quarter of past year, while Xiaomi's edged upward by 1.4% to 28.6 million, IDC estimated.

The phones will be manufactured by production partner Avenir, which has powered previous rugged phone efforts from the company, and are certainly not an also-ran brand where the tech is concerned.
