Samsung Galaxy S10 leak reveals 3D face-detection technology in works

Samsung Galaxy S10 leak reveals 3D face-detection technology in works”

Samsung is looking to celebrate the Galaxy S line's 10-year anniversary by showing the world it can still innovate.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 launch is getting closer and new information about the mighty device surface on the net nearly every day.

What that means is that the Galaxy S10 will come in three distinct versions, just like new iPhones.

The device comes with high end cameras on the front and back.

Per ETNews, Samsung will swipe that move next year.

Samsung might have some big tricks up its sleeve for the upcoming Galaxy S10, according to reports.

The Galaxy S10 leak is unveiling a shocking change that Samsung is planning to make to its next year flagship smartphone. If certain production benchmarks are not met, however, the new phone is expected to continue using an iris scanner, as older model phones have. More so, with a 3D sensor AND an in-display fingerprint scanner, there is practically no need for an Iris Scanner. One is 3D face recognition, which is pretty much expected given the popularity of Apple's Face ID and Samsung's own direction in the Galaxy S9. The latest reveal suggests an in-screen fingerprint reader, 3D facial recognition and triple camera. So all eyes are now on the true sequel to the Galaxy S9.

The Bell is saying that Samsung has partnered with an Israeli based software company known as Mantis who is tasked to develop "Intelligent Scan".

The Bell, a reliable Korean publication, reports that Samsung will remove the iris scanner from the Galaxy S10. For example, Facebook is now undergoing a class-action privacy lawsuit over its face-recognition technology, but Samsung is nonetheless diving into this area head first.
