Adam Levine Thanks His Haters Following Maroon 5's Super Bowl Halftime Show!

Adam Levine Thanks His Haters Following Maroon 5's Super Bowl Halftime Show!”

Maroon 5 is the sort of vanilla performer that nobody really hates enough to be against it, but also doesn't have the type of fans who are all-consumed.

But to understand what went wrong, we have to go back to what led us here in the first place.

Cardi B was also approached to perform, but turned down the offer to "stand behind" former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Previous years have not been almost as politically contentious for halftime performers. No one was particularly excited to see Maroon 5 performing at the halftime show in Atlanta when there were so many great Atlanta artists to choose from.

Others were looking for Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine to take a knee in solidarity with former National Football League star Colin Kaepernick whose protests against police brutality against black Americans have been excoriated by President Donald Trump.

Over the last several months, more than 1 million people signed the Change.org petition to honor Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of SpongeBob Squarepants, with a performance of the aquatic cartoon anthem "Sweet Victory" during the Super Bowl halftime show.

Who did the #Superbowl Halftime better?

Maroon 5 surprised some people by playing a lot of their album "Songs About Jane", which was a pleasant surprise in and of itself. "No one put more thought and love into this than I did". Adam Levine and his bandmates performed these singles during their performance in a way that felt like a strategic move to win over some early doubters. Scott performed an occasionally censored "SICKO MODE".

The Jazz point guard busted out the acoustic guitar and had the party singing a classic from Maroon 5 in "She Will Be Loved". With the likes of Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Bruno Mars participating in years past, the Super Bowl always brings out the biggest names in the industry. Maroon 5 performed the very awful hit "Girls Like You", making the already bad song sound worse by mixing in a gospel choir, led by a singer whose voice would make you walk out of church (sorry, girl). The outcome looked like two opposing worlds colliding in a dramatic way. Another Twitter user picked up on the same discrepancy, tweeting: "Suer Bowl halftime nipples rules feel inconsistent".

Here are five very important questions we have about the show.

It does seem like a bit of a missed opportunity.
