Ariana Grande to Grammys producer: "'You're lying about me"

Ariana Grande to Grammys producer:

Producer Ken Ehrlich told press that she had cancelled as it was "too late for her to pull something together". In a subsequent Twitter post, Grande says she "offered three different songs" to perform.

Ariana might have kept her fans waiting a little longer than expected and Apple Music may have had a slight issue getting the album out there, but that didn't stop the release going straight to the top of the iTunes US download chart.

Another wrote: "me trying to find one bad song on #thankunext" with photos of Ariana squinting her eyes as if looking for something impossible to find. Ariana has previously explained that the track is about "feeling badly for the person you're with bc you love somebody else. feeling badly bc he can tell he can't compare. and how i should be ghosting him".

She adds that she's "still grateful for the acknowledgement this year", but she will not be attending the show. The pop star confirmed that she wouldn't be attending the event after taking to Twitter to hit back at a producer who claimed that she said she wouldn't have time to put a performance together.

A similar thing happened with Lorde at last year's ceremony, with bosses reportedly refusing to let her perform a song from her Melodrama album.

Ariana Grande has accused the organisers behind the Grammy Awards of "lying" and "playing games". "Though I wish he were here instead/Don't want that living in your head/He just comes to visit me/When I'm dreaming every now and then (And then)".

The 2019 Grammy Awards are set to air Sunday, February 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

The new album includes title track Thank U, Next, which was released in November and reached number one in 13 countries including the United States, the UK, Canada, Australia and Lebanon.
