‘The Witcher’ Collaboration Event Costume Has Special Active Ability, Unique Monsters”

The first part of the event is live now, consisting of a new Contract called Trouble in the Ancient Forest, which is playable by anybody who has reached Hunter Rank 16 or above.

From 15th February until 1st March, hunters at rank 50 or above will be able to test their skills with a challenging multiplayer event, "Contract: Woodland Spirit".

After the "Witcher" event, the only other upcoming "Monster Hunter: World" content known so far is the Iceborne major update.

As part of a free title update, players can look forward to a new questline for Monster Hunter World featuring everyone's favourite monster hunter, Geralt of Rivia. A few weeks later, a release date for the collaboration was announced, and a trailer was revealed, showing Geralt arriving via portal in the Monster Hunter setting.

Geralt has the ability to use his silver sword for monsters and also his sign abilities like Quen and Igni. Not only will this quest provide the costume components, but players who clear the event will also be provided with a new gesture, title, guild card and pose with the Witcher design on them. And for your Palico, the Nekker α full armor set and Cursed Staff α will show up in the Smithy's list.

We've been wondering for a while now what form The Witcher 3 and Monster Hunter: World crossover would take.

The available costume sets for the hunter are based on the main "Witcher" characters, Geralt and Siri.

Meanwhile, the Siri costume components are from the harder "Woodland Spirit" quest. We couldn't have done it, of course, without the close collaboration of CD Projekt Red. Filming kicked off late a year ago with a budget of $60 million, and now it has progressed to the point where Sony Pictures is confident in setting a release date.
