Sergio AGUERO scores hattrick in Manchester win against Chelsea

Sergio AGUERO scores hattrick in Manchester win against Chelsea”

Maurizio Sarri admitted his concern as Chelsea crashed to their heaviest defeat in nearly 28 years and gave an equivocal answer when asked about his future.

Chelsea slipped to sixth in the league table and are now level on points with Arsenal following their humiliation at Manchester City on Sunday.

The Blues made a strong start to the campaign, but their Premier League form has been inconsistent in recent weeks, which has seen them drop out of the Champions League positions.

When asked whether he fears being sacked, Sarri replied: "I don't know, you have to ask the club". I'm anxious about the performance. You'd have to ask the club.

The Catalan also suffered during his first year in charge, but always retained the faith of the club's director of football and his former Barcelona colleague Txiki Begiristain before leading City to the title with a record 100 points last season. At the beginning [of the season] it worked. It is probably the reason why the Liverpool fans are all behaving like they do on twitter - they are just scared so maybe we should cut them some slack!

"It is not easy. We conceded more chances than usual, but I think the victory is fair", Pochettino said. "We did it, it's an incredible compliment to the players, they are outstanding", added the Spaniard.

"The knives are out for the fella at the moment but it's up to him now to get the players to rally round". "This kind of person, these type of games, always helps to make our football better". He wants to try to do that.

"In the last three or four matches we were without a reaction from the first difficulty so we need to understand". But when Sterling was too quick for Cesar Azpilicueta and chopped down by the Spaniard inside the area, Aguero coolly slotted home from the penalty spot to move level with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah as the Premier League's top scorer on 17 for the season.

City scored four times in the opening 25 minutes at the Etihad Stadium and twice in the second half to inflict Chelsea's worst defeat since 1991, with Sergio Aguero getting a hat trick and Raheem Sterling netting twice.

The victory was City's third in the space of eight days since a surprise defeat at Newcastle, leaving Guardiola understandably delighted.

Guardiola initially appeared put out, but later said that Sarri had simply not seen him, which may have been the case given the Italian's shell-shocked demeanor.

Neil Warnock said proudly on Saturday evening, that his side didn't know when they were beaten.

It means we are ahead of Liverpool on goal difference although the Merseysiders do have a game in hand as the season heads towards a pulsating final stretch.
