Ocasio-Cortez Jokes About 'Weak' Memes In 'Desus & Mero' Interview

Ocasio-Cortez Jokes About 'Weak' Memes In 'Desus & Mero' Interview”

Period. It's wild, Ocasio-Cortez said on the show.

The document was initially denounced by Ocasio-Cortez's staff afterward, but her office later acknowledged a draft was accidentally published. "When that happens, do you kind of regret getting into politics?" host Desus Nice asked the congresswoman. "I mean, it's heavy, but in a weird way, that stuff is validation that you're doing something real", said Ocasio-Cortez. "Because if you're just flying under the radar, just trying to get your check, like not rock the boat-then what's the point of being in politics?"

A message on the original billboard reads: '25,000 lost NYC jobs, $4 billion in lost wages, $12 billion in lost economic activity for NY - thanks for nothing, AOC!'

After being mocked for her the details of her Green New Deal environmental proposal, especially one goal involving "farting cows", freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is finally explaining the detail.

Job Creators Network put up a second billboard that stated: "Hey AOC, Saw your wack tweet". However, local activists called that a corporate giveaway, one made even less palatable by Amazon's anti-union stance.

"While I can't argue with New York's inhospitable business climate and anti-growth political leaders, I don't think that should limit Amazon's expansion plans".

A longer billboard with the heading "AMAZON PULLOUT" below expands on the issues the JCN has with the congresswoman from Queens. "PS fact that it's in Times Sq tells you this isn't for/by NYers", she said, commenting on the fact that Times Square is typically a tourist destination, rather than a space frequented by NY residents.

Neither the billboards or the press release addressed the issue of the JCN's funding or the dig the congresswoman made about their location in Times Square as not being for New Yorkers.

"You're not going to hear me or (House Speaker Jose) Aliva or any of the people in Florida push away people that want to bring jobs to our state".
