Two New Octopath Traveler Games In The Works, One Mobile, One Sequel”

For those of you familiar with the original Octopath Traveler, the game will have Path Actions to help with gathering information, items, allies, and more.

As for myself, I know this is an unpopular opinion, but as someone who was pretty disappointed by Octopath Traveler, I can't say I'm particularly looking forward to a new game, even less so if it's a free-to-play game.

Champions of the Continent is a mobile game for iOS and Android, which is set to release in Japan later this year. Interestingly, for a mobile game, there will not be multiplayer, this is an entirely single-player experience.

Additionally, per a Famitsu interview translated by RyougaSaotome on Twitter, the game will also see eight fully developed stories of the characters taking place in a time before the events of the standard Octopath Traveler console game.

HD-2D for smartphones - 3D CG screen effects added to pixelized graphics create a magical world on smartphones.

One of the most well-received Switch games from a year ago was Square Enix's RPG Octopath Traveler.

Eight-character party command-based battles - Form a party of up to eight characters to fight in evolved command-based battles. Registrations for an early-access demo will go live on March 12. Smooth gameplay with swipe controls. Champion of the Continent will be set in Orsterra much like its predecessor (or its sequel, depending on how you view things) and will feature a new cast of characters. You can also dish out field commands, such as 'Listen, ' 'Steal, ' and 'Hire'.

Pre-registration is available now via the official website. Hopefully, with the success of the game in North America, Square Enix will eventually release it here.
