‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star Jed Allan passes away at 84”

Soap actor Jed Allan, best known for his role in Beverly Hills, 90210, died Saturday in Palm Desert, Ca, aged 84.

Allen is survived by three sons. He had a very prolific career spanning six decades, having appeared on shows like "Lassie", "Columbo", "Adam-12", "Love, American Style", "CHiPs" and many others.

"Jed was a pro's pro in every sense, and an inspired artist in the moments when the red lights came on - he was fearless, and his work moved millions", Martinez said. I LOVED working with him, as did everyone else who got the chance.

"Dearest Luke, I will forever bask in the loving memories we've shared over the last thirty years". (It was hard to imagine a human being missing another more...) In my dream, the two of them are dancing together again tonight - a great comfort to all who've known and loved them over the years. His final acting role was in the online series The Bay from 2011 to 2012.

A Martinez, who played Allan's Santa Barbara son-in-law Cruz Castillo, remembered him as "the finest actor... and an even better man", adding, "He was about family".

Ziering took to Instagram on Sunday to pay tribute to his former co-star and on-screen dad, penning a sweet message alongside a set photo of himself and Allan from their time on the Fox teen drama.

Jed's first TV role was in 1963 when he played Edward L. Quatermaine the 3rd in General Hospital.

From 1988 to 1993, Allan played C.C. Capwell in Santa Barbara, the head of the Capwell clan and Robin Wright's father.

Allan's long career in soaps included stints on "Days of Our Lives", in which he played Don Craig, and "Santa Barbara" as C.C. Capwell.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 family is grieving another loss.
