Apex Legends datamine details Battle Pass Season 1 menus”

Respawn said in a Reddit post on March 8 that Apex Legends now relies on Easy Anti-Cheat and that even though "the service works", it's not going to rest on its laurels. So far, over 355,000 cheaters have been caught out by Apex Legends' anti-cheat system. It had one million concurrent players over a period of 72 hours and it reached 50 million players in less than 30 days. Like Fortnite, Apex Legends will soon have a Battle Pass for players to purchase, allowing them to unlock cosmetics unavailable anywhere else. This has not been confirmed by EA or Respawn, however.

So there is a chance we will see a massive new update go live tonight, containing both a new character and the Battle Pass.

The statement doesn't appear to apply to the Origin leak that revealed the next character as Octane, since that wasn't datamined. There will also be skins, though it's unclear how many or how they will be obtained.

Fortunately, Apex Legends data miner Real Apex Leaks has uncovered a set of game files in the battle royale title that have shed some light on what kind of content the game's community could be seeing in the Season 1 Pass.

"We're keeping a lot of our strategy close to the chest so offenders don't have time to build workarounds before we implement changes", they said. And it's not just a small leak, either, as all of the following Legends (with accompanying images) have been unearthed: Crypto, Hussaria, Jericho, Nomad, Prophet, Rampart, Rosie, Skunner, Wattson, and Octane. A Mad Max-inspired adrenaline junkie, Octane will be able to passive heal when out of combat, speed up at the cost of maximum health and deploy a launch pad. Once the lobby loads, you should see a special screen that tells you all the Apex goodies you got with your subscription - including 1,000 Apex coins!

"Legends will not be included in the Battle Pass". We have updated the headline and text to reflect that this remains speculation.
