Michael Jackson's music rises up the United Kingdom charts after Leaving Neverland broadcast”

The Jackson estate filed a $75 million lawsuit against HBO ahead of Leaving Neverland's premiere, calling the documentary "unvetted propaganda to shamelessly exploit an innocent man no longer here to defend himself".

The move is thought to have come as a result of the controversial Leaving Neverland documentary, which aired in the US and United Kingdom last week, which features James Safechuck and Wade Robson making a string of allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse against the Thriller singer, which reportedly took place when they were young boys.

An episode of The Simpsons featuring the voice of Michael Jackson will be pulled from distribution - less than a week after the release of a documentary, which exposed the singer's alleged sexual abuse.

"The guys I work with - where we spend our lives arguing over jokes - were of one mind on this", Brooks explained, referring to other executive producers Matt Groening and Al Jean. Producer James L Brooks said pulling "Stark Raving Dad" was "the only choice to make".

"This was a treasured episode". Of the decision to delete the episode, Brooks told WSJ that while he is "against book burning of any kind", he and his colleagues feel that "this is our book, and we're allowed to take out a chapter".

Considering that Jackson had performed on The Simpsons' "Do The Bartman" one year earlier, it wasn't exactly a huge leap to assume that the musician would have lent his voice to the show. "He didn't want credit for it", he continued.

The episode has been a fan favorite since it debuted, giving the world an earworm in the form of a birthday song Jackson sings to the Lisa Simpson character.
