'Safe' places for conservatives: App lists restaurants to eat in peace

'Safe' places for conservatives: App lists restaurants to eat in peace”

The app comes after a widely publicized incident back in June, when White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, because of her political ties. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R), was also chased out of a D.C. restaurant by unruly protesters during the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The new app, 63red Safe, provides "reviews of local restaurant and businesses from a conservative perspective, helping insure you're safe when you shop and eat", according to its description.

He said the goal isn't to find places that are conservative or pro-Trump, rather those that lack a "political bent". The questions include whether the restaurant permits concealed carry and if the establishment will "protect its customers if they are attacked or political reasons".

Appearing on Fox News, app creator Scott Wallace explained what could get a restaurant or other business branded as "unsafe" for fans of President Donald Trump.

If they serve guests of all political beliefs.

But for 63red Safe to be a resource for conservatives during the election, it has to make it past the primary process. That's when, he claims, more Trump supporters will be targeted by what he calls "socialist goon squads", and businesses will become more interested in protecting their customers over their politics. "I think antifa was nothing compared between now and what's coming in 2020".
