Knicks Owner James Dolan Calls Fan Altercation An "Ambush"

Knicks Owner James Dolan Calls Fan Altercation An

But Tuesday afternoon, team owner James Dolan not only gave voice to the subtext, he set the stakes for the summer of 2019 and all but promised that it would be a franchise-altering time for the Knicks.

Dolan ended the interview by making it clear that he was not going to sell the team or quit his job. He also claimed that The Ringer's Bill Simmons, who reported last month that Dolan was "courting offers for the Knicks", was acting in concert with an National Basketball Association general manager to "destabilize" his team. Dolan begins. "You wanna not come to any more games?" then adding that the comment was rude.

A number of top players - including Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker and Klay Thompson - are expected to be free agents, and Dolan is confident the Knicks will be able to sign two of the top players despite the team's woes.

Asked about that exchange Tuesday, the 63-year-old owner said he understood that "for the fans it's about winning and losing, and we haven't been doing much winning, and so there's a real big frustration there". "If you want to go right into [Saturday's] incident, it's pretty easy". It appears that this gentleman and his friends planned to do this. Just before the game they cleared their profiles out. As soon as they were done with it, it was immediately sold to TMZ.

"The ban is only coming from the fact that we now have learned that he planned it", Dolan said. "You are not allowed to stalk the owner and then confront him like that". "They were stalking me". He said it becomes the taunting problem when people become "confrontational". But upon learning that the fan moved sections to film a confrontation with Dolan, the lifetime ban was issued.
