Lakers rally form 20-point deficit to beat Bulls”

LeBron James strode onto the United Centre court on Tuesday night for the 39th time overall and his first since signing with the Los Angeles Lakers. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had one of his best games of the season, as he scored 24 points on 7-for-11 shooting from the field.

Lopez had 20 points and seven rebounds, and Otto Porter Jr. finished with 19 for the Bulls. Ryan Arcidiacono is in line to get the start in LaVine's absence.

The Bulls outscored the Lakers 11-1 after he checked out in the first quarter to lead 34-16 at the end of the period. "I think if we can do that the next 15 games, lay it all out there, it's all we can really ask at this point".

The Bulls moved back out in front by eight points, but Los Angeles reeled them back in and scored the final 16 points of the third quarter to take a 98-84 lead into the fourth.

Tuesday's win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Lakers.

With some solid additions in free agency to add experience to the Bulls' roster and shore up point guard and general depth issues, Wojnarowski said that he believes that the Bulls can be "challenging for a playoff spot in the East as soon as next year".

The Bulls led 60-55 at the half.

Khris Middleton scored 23 points, Malcolm Brogdon added 18 and Eric Bledsoe and former Pelicans forward Nikola Mirotic each chipped in with 14. He is the first New Orleans player to have a triple-double in consecutive games since Chris Paul did it in 2008. He also shot 49.0 percent from 3-point range. JJ Redick scored 17 points for the Sixers, who were without Jimmy Butler as he was held out for a planned rest day.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 24 points as the Milwaukee Bucks produced a 45-point third-quarter to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans 130-113.

The Pacers rebounded from a pair of nationally televised double-digit defeats at Milwaukee and Philadelphia by beating the Knicks for the 13th time in their last 14 meetings in Indianapolis and completing their third season sweep of NY in the past five seasons.

Meanwhile, Chicago was on a recent hot streak, winning five of six before cooling off in a hurry in losing four of their last five games, including an embarrassing loss in Detroit Sunday, 131-108.
