Disney+ Price, Release Date, & More Exciting Details Announced”

Disney revealed details about the service at an investor event on Thursday (Friday NZ time) in Burbank, California. A lot was covered during the almost 3-hour presentation, so let's dive in on everything you need to know. The video ended with Maggie as a Springfield Tinker Bell, sprinkling magic, before the big announcement that Disney+ will launch on November 12 at a cost of $6.99 a month. Disney+ will also be available to stream through smart televisions, web browsers, tablets and mobile devices.

Disney said movies would become available on its streaming service only after the traditional theatrical release period and home movie debut, which includes DVDs and purchasing streaming videos. In addition to Disney films and TV shows, it will feature programming from the Marvel superhero universe, the "Star Wars" galaxy, "Toy Story" creator Pixar animation the National Geographic channel and the entire library of "The Simpsons".

All 13 of Disney's Signature Collection movies, which includes classics like The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Pinocchio and more.

Star Wars fans will be excited to know that all of the Star Wars movie will roll out on Disney+ within the first year of launch. On top of that, every episode of the series Star Wars: The Clone Wars will also be made available. The service is promising the first year to provide more than 500 movie titles and 7,500 episodes of programming.

Disney+, which is Disney's first foray into direct-to-consumer streaming service, will debut exclusively in the US sometime this fall.

The Scarlett Witch and Vision series starring Elizbeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will be called WandaVision. The story picks up six months after the original film and follows a character named Tylor Tuskmon (voiced by Ben Feldman), who is "an eager and talented young mechanic on the Monsters, Inc".

Another live-action spy series starring "Rogue One" actors Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk was also teased. The first episode will feature Agent Carter, and imagine what if she had taken the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers.

Kathleen Kennedy said that all of the now available Star Wars movies will arrive on the service, with future titles to be included as well.

Executives said they see opportunities to take its ESPN+ sport streaming video service to Latin America and are looking into global expansion of its Hulu streaming video business, which offers movies and shows targeted to adults.

It will also have Academy Award winning documentary Free Solo.

The interface reminds us of a mixture of Apple TV and Netflix.

Lots of Fox titles, including shows like Malcolm in the Middle and movies like The Princess Bride.
