Nearly six years after Student of The Year released, Dharma Productions today launched the trailer of Student of The Year 2.

Directed by Punit Malhotra (I Hate Luv Storys), the film is a sequel to Karan Johar's Student of the Year (2012), which launched the careers of Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. the sequel will be released on May 10.

Congratulations on getting into St Teresa. Trailer looks fantastic!", while Alia agreed, "All the best guys! It is very motivating to have new people. Produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under Dharma Productions banner, the film will be distributed by Fox Star Studios and is slated to release in nearly a month from now, on May 10 this year. Our film industry needs new people all the time. "I love competition", she said.

"I had a blast in school and college, but nothing compares to what we have shown in SOTY 2", said Ananya.

Actor Tiger Shroff, who has danced away to glory and performed stunts galore in the trailer of Student Of The Year 2 (SOTY 2), says he wants to steer clear of comparisons between his movie and its predecessor.

Tara added: "I do not think there will be any unhealthy competition. I have seen a couple of films (of new talents) and now they all are going to see our films".

Both Ananya and Tara are excited to be making their debut with "Student of the Year 2".
