Oprah defends Meghan Markle against gossip: 'She's being portrayed unfairly'

Oprah defends Meghan Markle against gossip: 'She's being portrayed unfairly'”

Britain's Prince Harry and his wife Meghan want to keep the arrival of their baby later this month "private", Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Thursday.

There will be no appearance on the hospital steps for this royal birth - and fans are feeling a tad ripped off.

Kensington Palace has not issued any comments about the upcoming birth or where Markle is planning on having the child.

"But for now a water birth is absolutely her plan, is what they're saying".

Other claims regarding Prince Harry and Meghan's first child were made in the documentary, including that the Duchess of Sussex's estranged father is unlikely to ever meet his grandchild due to his tumultuous relationship with the royal couple.

There are even rumours that the Duchess will choose a home birth - after all, her grandmother-in-law the Queen gave birth to her four children at home.

William and Kate posed for cameras on the same day as Prince Louis' arrival. The Sussexes' communication will be headed up by newly appointed spokeswoman, PR heavyweight Sara Latham - who most recently led campaigns at communications firm Freuds, and was previously a senior adviser on Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

According to royal protocol, the doctors can not be excluded from the process entirely, and should anything go wrong in the birth they will be present to step in. The Mail on Sunday reported that Meghan had already broken with royal tradition by appointing her own delivery team without "the men in suits", a reference to gynaecologists working in the Royal Household.

The source added: "Meghan is a new-age woman, so obviously the birth will reflect everything about that, and the new generation her and Harry are bringing up". "It did leave a few of us a little baffled".

The royal couple have remained tight-lipped over the gender of their first child, but that hasn't stopped people from speculating - and the trip to Dagenham certainly fuelled the rumours of it being a girl. Follow Yahoo Lifestyle on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

We won't find out about the baby until after the birth.

It is understood that there will not be a photo call outside a hospital.
