Klobuchar Releases Taxes, Urges Trump To Do Same”

President Donald Trump is set to tout his economic policies and Republican tax cuts with a Tax Day trip to Minnesota on Monday, where he will participate in a roundtable on the economy and visit a truck and equipment retailer.

The article Trump referred to was headlined: "Face It: You (Probably) Got a Tax Cut". The tax cut is increasing the federal debt. "Well, we're putting on the table some of the regressive parts of that Republican past tax bill".

"Today is tax day", Trump said to boos, according to pool reports.

In his remarks the president said the economy was doing well and that the recent tax cuts were "working very, very well".

Democratic presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar is releasing her latest tax return as she calls on President Donald Trump to "quit hiding from the American people" and make his returns public.

Companies are reaping benefits, using their savings to buy back stock at a record pace, according to TrimTabs Investment Research.

The New York Times reported that most Americans' tax bills went down, even if they didn't notice it. Trump is taking to the road this week to promote his achievement, saying it is following through on its promise. But so far, the tax cuts haven't delivered a major shot of financial adrenaline to most families.

A Trump opponent welcomed the president to Burnsville with a sign that said: "Demand Trump's Tax Returns and a List of his Creditors".

Speaking at a trucking company in the Minneapolis suburb of Burnsville on Monday, Trump said he hoped his economic message would be met with enthusiasm from a state that he came within 1.5 percentage points of carrying in 2016.

Minnesota, which gave the country Vice Presidents Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale, both Democrats, hasn't given its 10 electoral votes to a Republican since Richard Nixon in 1972.
