Sony announces super cute new adventure romp Away: The Survival Series”

Inspired by nature documentaries like Planet Earth, Away: The Survival Series is a third-person game about surviving in the harsh wild as a sugar glider.

Sony's State of Play dropped a teaser for an animal survival game called Away. Did you know the life of one sugar glider could be so hectic?

In the trailer, we see our sugar glider take on a snake, glide with birds, climb through jungles, leap over canyons and more.

It's not easy being a possum close to the bottom of the food chain, but it gets worse: a cataclysmic storm is coming. You'll have to hunt smaller animals, such as insects, to survive, while avoiding predators.

The game will feature "nature documentary narration" with Ratchet and Clank composer Mike Raznick providing an orchestral accompaniment. Developer Breaking Walls wanted to achieve this same feeling with Away, and a big part of this involved creating a soundtrack that would complement the narrator throughout your adventures. By far, the scariest moment shown in the trailer has to be the spider at the end, so if you have arachnophobia like me, prepare yourself.

You can tell Breaking Walls has put a lot into this game.

I'm Sam. Been playing video games since PlayStation.

Away: The Survival Series will obviously be released on PS4, but also on PC(Steam).
