Square Enix says Final Fantasy VII Remake will still feature ‘multiple parts’”

The first comparison comes from YouTube's "Cycu1" who has shared a video comparison between the 2015 and the 2019 builds of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and as we can see, there are some visual differences between them.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is the talk of the town again after Square Enix shared a new re-reveal trailer for the game recently. But what are the plans for the game's release?

The folks at DualShockers translated a message on the Japanese Square Enix website, which was posted shortly after the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer played. The remake is getting an enormous overhaul, with all new visuals, new cutscenes, and a new battle system. In one scenario, Final Fantasy VII Remake will launch as separate games focusing on different arcs of the RPG's story. It's a huge undertaking. "Finally... The long awaited moment has come". Given that it is going to be a multi-part release, we can only hope that Square Enix doesn't take an extra couple of years to get through the remaining episodes. Or our great grandchildren's names, for that matter. At the very beginning of the State of Play trailer, there is text that reads "The return draws closer". And it can not be coincidence that, this year, Square Enix occupies the prime time E3 slot vacated by Sony. In response, a Square Enix representative simply pointed us back toward the press release from 2015 that initially revealed the remake would be "a multi-part series", and that they had no further information to share beyond what had already been announced there. But a year ago, he was promising that the remake was "actually in development". "Sorry to keep you all waiting so long!" he wrote.
