Suns' Jackson faces felony charge after arrest

Suns' Jackson faces felony charge after arrest”

The Phoenix Suns player was recently at Rolling Loud Music Festival when he tried unsuccessfully to enter a VIP area several times. His arraignment hearing is slated for June 10.

Jackson, who was the fourth overall pick in the 2017 National Basketball Association draft out of Kansas, averaged 11.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in his second season with Phoenix. Manzelli told Jackson to sit on a golf cart, which he did, only to get up and walk away again. Jackson apologized in a statement after the arrest.

A Suns spokesperson told ABC 15 in Arizona that the team is aware of the arrest and is "in the process of gathering more information".

The fourth-overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft, Jackson has had an up-and-down NBA career.

In February, Jackson was criticized for missing an autograph event for Suns fans, and although he claimed he had 'family issues, ' the team still reportedly fined him. This past year, during his second season in the NBA, Jackson averaged 11.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists while playing 25.2 minutes per game for Phoenix.

During his lone season at Kansas, he was charged with one count of criminal damage to property, less than $1,000 after he allegedly kicked the vehicle of a woman basketball player, who claimed he threatened to "beat her ass".
