Convicted of raping 58-year-old homeless woman”

'Kellen Winslow took what he wanted; he took what he wanted not from one, not from two, but from three women, ' Owens said during the trial, as quoted by Cleveland's NBC affiliate. He was found not guilty of committing lewd conduct in front of Jane Doe 5 on a separate occasion.

The jury also found the 35-year-old former tight end guilty of indecent exposure and lewd conduct involving two other women, but jurors found him not guilty of one count of a lewd act.

He was also found guilty of indecent exposure for exposing himself to a 58-year-old woman who was gardening in her front hard and lewd conduct related to an incident where he made sexual advances toward a 78-year-old woman in a health club. The jury is still deliberating on the remaining counts.

Last Friday marked a year since Winslow was initially arrested after someone spotted him enter a mobile home in a park for seniors, then emerge shirtless.

He was facing life in prison if convicted of all 12 charges.

The University of Miami product was drafted sixth in the 2004 National Football League draft by the Cleveland Browns, ahead of future stars like Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork and Rams running back Steven Jackson.

The homeless woman in Encinitas, who was 58 at the time, testified that he befriended her and attacked her next to his vehicle after inviting her for a coffee in May 2018.

The jury is expected to continue deliberations on the other eight charges, including an alleged rape of a homeless woman last year and of a 17-year-old girl in 2003, on Tuesday. A 54-year-old hitchhiker accused Winslow of raping her in his Hummer last year.

He is the namesake son of a legendary Chargers tight end and Hall of Famer.

Prosecutor Dan Owens told the jury of eight men and four women that Winslow is a "wolf in sheep's clothing". Perez, the timeline is uncertain for the other charges.

Winslow II grew up in San Diego and attended Patrick Henry and Scripps Ranch high schools before heading to the University of Miami.

"The jurors could benefit from an explanation as to what being under oath means", the note said. The trials opening statements began on May 20.

In February, while Winslow was out on $2 million bail and awaiting trial, a 77-year-old woman reported two recent incidents at a Carlsbad gym in which she said he committed lewd acts in front of her, including in a hot tub. Bail was revoked following his arrest in that case.
