Raiders, Antonio Brown chosen for HBO's 'Hard Knocks' this season

Raiders, Antonio Brown chosen for HBO's 'Hard Knocks' this season”

The Raiders went into the offseason as one of the five eligible teams for the latest edition of HBO's Hard Knocks. We'll find out starting August 6 when the show's 14th season premieres.

It seems just like yesterday we were introduced to Devon Cajuste, Brogan Roback, Bob Wylie and Carl Nassib's fuzzy math on the Browns season on "Hard Knocks".

That's what HBO is counting on, and hopefully they bring enough cameras to Raiders' training camp.

The quote in the tweet came via owner Mark Davis in a release on the team's website.

Other teams that could've been chosen for the show were the Detroit Lions, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Redskins. Oakland's cast of characters should make the upcoming season appointment television.

The Raiders announced on Twitter that they were officially slated to be featured on Hard Knocks. Oakland has made headlines for plenty of reasons over the a year ago or so, from hiring Jon Gruden as head coach and Mike Mayock as general manager, to the controversial Khalil Mack trade, to a 4-12 2018 campaign, to the team's impending relocation to Oakland in 2020, to acquiring Antonio Brown via a trade earlier this offseason. The Raiders finished in last place in the AFC West in 2018 at 4-12. Oh, and the defense will feature oft-suspended linebacker Vontaze Burfict and recently un-retired and unafraid-to-speak-his-mind offensive guard Richie Incognito, infamous for his role in a bullying scandal with the Dolphins.
