Dog Saliva Almost Kills A Women?! Know The Shocking Story!!

Dog Saliva Almost Kills A Women?! Know The Shocking Story!!”

Marie Trainer, from OH, contracted sepsis after her dog showed her a bit of affection and accidentally infected her with a rare bacteria.

They thought Marie might have caught a flu because she felt nauseous and had a bad backache.

Margaret Kobe, Medical Director of Infectious Disease at Aultman Hospital, where Marie received treatments, said the organism can be very virulent.

Marie was put into a medically induced coma, with large blood clots forming and restricting her blood flow, causing necrosis and gangrene and forcing doctors to amputate her hands and legs.

Meanwhile, Kobe told the Fox 8 that neither she nor Trainer want people to become afraid of their pets, but they want them to be aware of germs that can cause infections during interactions, and to recognize the symptoms.

Capnocytophaga, normal bacteria found in the mouths of people, dogs and cats. "It has that ability to induce your immune system to do some pretty awful things", Kobe says, but usually doesn't.

The doctors had to remove dozens of blood clots from Marie's limbs in an attempt to save them but the tissue was already too heavily damaged.

It was there that her family learned she needed to undergo amputation, though they still didn't know what was wrong.

Premier continued: "It was so rapid in progression, there was nothing they could do".

Dr. Kobe said this type of severe reaction is very rare and only happens to roughly one in a million people. Sources say the bacteria are present in the mouths of over 70% of dogs, and these dogs themselves never get infected.

A man from the USA state of Wisconsin had to undergo 10 surgeries and forearm and leg amputations after getting infected with Capnocytophaga in 2018.

But the same year, a different local patient recovered.

This depends upon how the immune system handles it. It is impossible to describe what she's going through by words but she said she still loves her dogs and is not going to get rid of them.

"If you get bit by a dog you definitely need to go on antibiotics and to wash your hands when playing with a dog, especially with an open cut", Kobe told the outlet.

But when Marie's temperature started fluctuating - from incredibly high to worryingly low - Matthew made a decision to seek immediate medical attention.

Trainer, who faces intense rehabilitation, wept as she spoke about her husband's support.

"He's here every day for me... every day he feeds me, and dresses me here every day", Marie said of her husband, breaking down in tears. I imply what do you do? "I had to learn how to sit up, roll over, it's been just very hard".

Trainer was in a coma for 10 days, had a total of eight surgeries, and spent 80 days in the hospital - but she lived.

A GoFundMe created to help with Trainer's medical bills has already raised almost $15,000.
