Rumor: Call of Duty 2020 Will Be A Black Ops Reboot

Rumor: Call of Duty 2020 Will Be A Black Ops Reboot”

But a rumor has the game making a huge addition later on, by later on we mean 2020. We've already heard murmurs about a battle royale mode for this year's Call of Duty game, although Infinity Ward earlier this week indicated it wouldn't be happening.

Taylor Kurosaki, Narrative Director at Infinity Ward, has denied these rumors, stating that they're "not right". "We do talk about concepts like colonialism, and occupation, and independence, and freedom".

"Do we touch on topics that bear a resemblance to the geopolitics of the world we live in today?" "We don't maybe say those words specifically, but that's the realm that we are in".

"We intend to drive Call of Duty higher than ever before through Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Mobile", said Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick in a conference call with analysts. Another Twitter user asked, "Has the campaign been toned down any, in terms of violence or controversial moments, in order for the game to get rated M instead of AO?"

In Minkoff's final points, he goes on to say, "I feel like for me to honestly say-if you wanted a situation where I would say that 'yes, it is a political story, ' I would have to be telling a story about specifically the exact administrations and governments and events in our world today". We don't want to say that one of them is correct because what we want you to do is to understand how these people feel, this is why they fight, this is the outcome of it.

Modern Warfare's M rating is due to Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Suggestive Themes, Use of Drugs, and In-Game Content Purchases. What's really being said here is that Infinity Ward doesn't want us to think of Call of Duty as being left-wing or right-wing, because that would limit their audience.

However, while Black Ops 4 saw Blackout as a default game mode included on release, Modern Warfare's own version will apparently not be coming until early 2020, when it will be free for players to download.
