Google will pay if your flight gets cheaper-but there's a catch

Google will pay if your flight gets cheaper-but there's a catch”

On the Google Flights front, the price-tracking chart has been updated to include specific figures for an itinerary, showing whether the current lowest fares are cheap, expensive, or typical for the season.

Today, the company announced the addition of several new travel features meant to help people decide where to go, and when to buy tickets. You can even book a reservation right from the Maps app (if the restaurant supports it) and you can also find out how long you'll wait for a table (based on estimates). Interestingly enough, the company is also claiming to refund the difference of the travelers' ticket money if prices drop lower than what Google predicted.

There are other sites and apps out there, like AirHint, though the accuracy of these tools is unknown, so, for now, Google is your best bet.

Numerous travel updates are for Google Flights, the ultimate lazy girl's flight research tool.

Google added that the difference in flight booking has to be higher than $5. The Reservations tab is where you'll see all your future trips and all the reservations they have been able to pull from your Gmail account. This will give customers more confidence while booking flight tickets. The company likely has the most readily available, cross-airline information about flight availability, route popularity and price in the world, however, backed by some of the most sophisticated machine learning on the planet, so it sounds like it's probably a pretty safe bet for them to make. Google will monitor flight fares on your behalf and if it drops to a certain amount that you are looking for, you will receive immediate notification from Google.

It's also worth pointing out that flight price prediction isn't a new thing.
