LG G8X Renders Leak, Tip Dewdrop Notch, Dual Rear Cameras, Headphone Jack

LG G8X Renders Leak, Tip Dewdrop Notch, Dual Rear Cameras, Headphone Jack”

LG Electronics hinted at new features of its dual-screen accessory for the follow-up model of its 5G smartphone, V50 ThinQ, in a teaser video. The LG G8X ThinQ is also expected to debut alongside the V60 ThinQ next month.

The folks over at Pricebaba and OnLeaks have come together to deliver CAD-based renders and a 360-degree video of the upcoming LG flagship smartphone. If the reports are to be believed, the device will be the successor to the G8 ThinQ that was launched earlier this year. Since the waterdrop cutout has room only for the selfie camera, the G8X ThinQ will not have the same 3D facial recognition system found on the G8 ThinQ.

The back of the phone isn't very different compared to its predecessor. It has a dual rear camera setup accompanied with an LED flash, aligned horizontally, like the one we have seen in G8 ThinQ.

Instead of increasing complexity and prices with a folding display design, LG provided us with the choice to double the screen real estate of the V50 by adding a second display when you need it.

The second major difference is the presence of an earpiece, which suggests LG has ditched its hole-less Crystal Sound tech from the LG G8, which used vibrations to produce sound through the screen.

The Korean smartphone maker said the new phone had "free stop hinge" technology, created to add the ability to stop and hold the second screen at any position, like a laptop. The rest of the phone's specifications, however, are yet to surface. The screen on the device is of 6.2-inches that comes with thin bezels on sides and it is said to be measuring 159.3 mm x 75.8 mm x 8.5 mm. It might get powered either by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 or the Snapdragon 855+ SoC.
