CNN Host Chris Cuomo Threatens Man Who Called Him 'Fredo'

CNN Host Chris Cuomo Threatens Man Who Called Him 'Fredo'”

"I thought that's who you were", a man can be heard, but not seen. "You called me Fredo, like I call you 'punk b*ch", Cuomo says, insisting that the man had deliberately insulted him, despite the former's protesting that he genuinely believed Cuomo's name was 'Fredo'. "I'm an anchor on CNN", Cuomo said. "He was a weak brother and they use it as an Italian aspersion". "It's an insult to your fucking people". It's an insult to your f*cking people. "It's like the N-word to us".

"Any of you Italian?"

"Well, you're gonna have a big f--in' problem", Cuomo shot back.

The man says he doesn't want any problems.

"Are you Italian?" Cuomo asks someone out of the frame. "That's a cool f-ing thing" to say? "I'll f***in' throw you down these stairs".

The footage which is said to have been taken at an event in NY on Sunday, has been making rounds on social media, sparking a Twitter moment of its own.

When the man facing Cuomo asked, "So why don't you do it", Cuomo replied, "So you can f*cking sue?" Cuomo says, inviting the man to take a swing at him.

"You didn't know what you were doing when you called me Fredo?". I'm f--in' right here.

The heated argument continued with Cuomo telling the man, "I'll f*cking wreck your sh*t".

At that point, another man intervenes to split the two up.

Fox News' Sean Hannity defended Cuomo in a tweet.

"Chris Cuomo defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup. We completely support him".

"I assume @cnn not available for comment", tweeted Donald Trump Jr., who shared the video.

The man said he didn't call the CNN host by the name from The Godfather, in which Cuomo immediately responded.

Others on Twitter pointed out that CNN anchor Jake Tapper depicted Trump Fredo in his political cartoon segment back in December and a CNN guest called Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., the "Fredo of the Republican Party" in March.

Cuomo hosts "Cuomo Prime Time" on CNN.
