Disney+ Sets Their Sights On Hailee Steinfeld As New Hawkeye

Disney+ Sets Their Sights On Hailee Steinfeld As New Hawkeye”

Variety is reporting that Marvel Studios has their eye on Hailee Steinfeld for Disney+'s upcoming Hawkeye series. (At Comic-Con, Renner said Kate is the "better version" of Hawkeye compared to his Clint Barton.) Anyone who remembers Steinfeld's breakout turn in 2010's True Grit knows she can handle that aspect of the character with aplomb. Based on brief glimpses in the trailers, some fans speculated that this role might be filled by Clint's daughter in Avengers: Endgame.

The Disney+ Hawkeye series may have just found its star in Hailee Steinfeld.

That's where Steinfeld (possibly) comes in - she would play Kate Bishop. She has nailed every role she has signed on to be, and would definitely be a valued addition to the MCU. Both are members of the group called "Young Avengers". Bishop goes on to become the next Hawkeye once Barton retires. Her recent performance in the lauded Transformers reboot Bumblebee also makes her one of the most well-known franchise stars out there so this seems like a very smart bit of casting all round.

There've been reports about a Hawkeye series happening for a while now, but it wasn't made official until San Diego Comic-Con. She was previously a part of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse as the voice of Gwen Stacy.

Quite a lot of reveals based mostly on characters within the Marvel Cinematic Universe are already lined up for Disney's streaming service, together with Tom Hiddleston's Loki, Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, Anthony Mackie's The Falcon and Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier.
