'Bachelor' Star Peter Weber Rushed to Hospital for Serious Injury to Face

'Bachelor' Star Peter Weber Rushed to Hospital for Serious Injury to Face”

Bachelor and Bachelorette host Chris Harrison also confirmed the news on Instagram, writing that Weber is "100% OK and production is already back underway".

A second insider says his injury was blown out of proportion, telling PEOPLE, "It's not as bad as what is being reported!" "It was a two-hour drive from the course to the hospital in San Jose; he got 22 stitches in his face", a source told Us Weekly.

Fortunately, the contestants hadn't arrived in Costa Rica yet, so they weren't on site when Peter suffered from his injury, but Us Weekly claims the women, who are now competing for Peter's heart, were en route to join Peter in Costa Rica on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Weber was named the upcoming Bachelor last month during the September 17 Season 6 reunion of Bachelor in Paradise, becoming the second Hispanic or Latino American franchise star (his mother is Cuban). The handsome pilot was reportedly part of a "freak accident" and was rushed to the hospital.

Peter Weber came third on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette.

The Bachelor season just filmed its fourth Rose Ceremony in Cleveland on Saturday and was scheduled to film its next round of dates in Costa Rica this week.

The Rose Ceremony in Cleveland featured Peter narrowing his pool of women to Season 24's Final 12 bachelorettes, according to online spoilers.

"This is life-changing. I have truly, my entire life, looked forward to finding my girl, and that person that I can not wait to spend the rest of my life with", he said at the time of the announcement.

He later added, "I have all the faith in the world this can work for me, and I know it's going to".
