Going to Middles East worst decision ever made

Going to Middles East worst decision ever made”

President Trump said this was the worst decision ever made in the history of America.

The president's decision was met with concern by some Republican lawmakers who fear that the withdrawal could lead to genocide of U.S. Kurdish allies and the return of ISIS in the region.

"I held off this fight for nearly three years, but it is time to get out of these ridiculous endless wars...and bring our soldiers home", the president emphasized. Turkish troops and heavy equipment have been assembled at the border area in recent days, and Ankara has promised to inform all relevant countries including Syria about the operation when it begins.

Trump has enraged many Republicans and Democrats with his abrupt decision on Sunday to redeploy 50 US troops from northern Syria after Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan told him a long-planned assault against the Kurds would start soon.

But it comes as he needs as much Republican support as possible to fight an impeachment inquiry launched by Democrats who control the U.S. House of Representatives based on his attempt to get Ukraine to investigate Democratic rival Joe Biden.

Donald Trump gestures during a news conference in Washington. He said the United States went to war under a "false & now disproven premise, WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION".

Trump said he is "slowly & carefully" bringing home "our great soldiers & military", in line with his campaign promise to do so.

Just a couple of months ago the Pentagon reestablished a troop presence in Saudi Arabia after a lengthy absence, and in May it added air and naval forces in the region in response to what it views as worrying threats from Iran. It concluded by saying that "removing" IS fighters, weapons and bomb materials "remains a top priority" as the group "continues to plot attacks against innocent civilians and our partners throughout Iraq and northeast Syria". He was referring to Islamic State group members detained by Kurdish forces.

U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar said the order was part of the administration's efforts to cut back on regulatory red tape. He had said earlier this week that he was working on a bipartisan bill to sanction Turkey if they invade Syria, but he did not mention the proposal during Wednesday's interview.

Turkey said on Tuesday that it would begin its long-threatened offensive "soon", after Trump gave what was widely seen as a green light at the weekend, ordering the pullback of United States troops who had previously served as a buffer.

Trump has faced a bipartisan storm of criticism since the White House made the surprise announcement on Sunday.
