Instant Reaction: Bruins Win Third Straight Behind Two Goals from Brad Marchand

Instant Reaction: Bruins Win Third Straight Behind Two Goals from Brad Marchand”

After a slow start through their first two games, the Bergeron line looked more like themselves Tuesday night, combining for seven points and three of the team's four goals in an entertaining 4-3 victory in Vegas.

Torey Krug contributed a goal and an assist for the Bruins, who have won first three games of a season-opening, four-game road trip that concludes on Thursday night at Colorado.

Despite allowing two quick goals, Tuukka Rask was stellar between the pipes for the Bruins. The line of Marchand, Pastrnak, and Patrice Bergeron seem like they are heating up, and when they do you'll want to have a part of them in your fantasy lineups.

The Vegas Golden Knights take on the Boston Bruins tonight for their third game of the season.

Derek Stepan leads the Coyotes in goals scored with one, while Clayton Keller and Phil Kessel each have one assist to lead Arizona and three players - Stepan, Kessel and Keller each have one point. By the end of the first period, scores from Pastrnak and Marchand evened things up and then the Bruins kicked it into offensive gear in the second period to put Vegas in the rear-view mirror.

Marchand then tied it with a power-play goal, one-timing a feed from Pastrnak from the left dot under Fleury's right arm at 18:58 of the first.

Boston (3-0-0) matched its best start since 2001-02.

Vegas was able to pull to within one late in the third on their second power play goal but Rask shut the door on a late Golden Knights surge in the final minutes.

Tuukka Rask appeared to be injured at the very end of the game after holding things down in the third period to protect a one-goal lead.

Boston played nearly a complete game in Vegas, and it was the top line that really stood out.

The battle of the undefeated will take place on the ice tonight with a 7 p.m. puck drop inside T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights will try to keep them off the scoresheet and figure to task the top defensive pair of Theodore and Brayden McNabb with locking them down. "Frustrate them as much as we can, have good sticks, let (goalie Marc-Andre Fleury) see shots, we'll be OK".

"We've got to respect them, but we've also got to be hard on them", McNabb said. "We've just got to clean up our mistakes". The Golden Knights have converted on one of their seven power plays, and both teams have been ideal on the penalty kill so far.
