17th Suspect Arrested in Connection With Manchester Bombing”

Seventeen arrests have so far been made in the United Kingdom and six people have since been released without charge.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said they were unable to confirm or deny Abedi's contact with the terror group as it was an ongoing investigation.

Counter-terrorism police have said they believe Salman Abedi acted largely alone as he assembled the nail bomb, having initially feared the killer was helped by a network of accomplices.

According to Sky News broadcaster, Salman's brother Ismail Abedi, 23, was arrested on May 23.

Police named Abedi, 22, as the suicide bomber behind the May 22 attack at the Manchester Arena.

Part of Manchester's been evacuated after police found a auto that could be significant in the investigation into last week's concert bombing.

Abedi is seen in another surveillance photo released by investigators who are trying to piece together his actions prior to the attack.

Peter Mann, whose daughter Jaden was hurt, posted images of the visit on Facebook. "She just ran to me and grabbed hold of me but I couldn't hold her because I was covered in other people's blood".

The Duke of Cambridge also visited Manchester on Friday and met police officers and volunteers before paying a visit to Manchester Royal Infirmary to meet some of those injured in the attack.

Ariana Grande, whose concert was the target of the attack, will be joined by performers including Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus for a Manchester benefit show at Old Trafford cricket ground on Sunday.
