Kathy Griffin Cries, Apologizes For Trump Photo Controversy, Says 'He Broke Me'

Comedian Kathy Griffin, alongside her attorney Lisa Bloom, said President Trump and his family are trying to "ruin" her and their bullying caused her to lose multiple jobs during a press conference Friday in Los Angeles.

Bloom said the comedian was contacted by the U.S. Secret Service and said she has retained a criminal lawyer.

She predicted she won't have a career after the incident.

Trump's oldest son, Donald Jr, called it "disgusting" and urged Griffin to be dropped by her employers.Griffin was sacked from her role as co-host of CNN's New Year's Eve coverage this week.

Comedian Kathy Griffin has claimed Donald Trump is using the furore around a photo in which she appeared with a likeness of his severed head to divert attention from the FBI investigation into Russian meddling in the United States election.

Trump said in tweet about the image that "Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself".

Kathy Griffin is planning a Friday morning press conference to address "the true motivation" behind a controversial video released earlier this week. "What she did was wrong and President Trump and his family have every right to condemn it".

After the photo circulated online, Griffin is now saying the response from the first family is making her life miserable, according to NBC's Sarah Rosario. I understand how it offends people, it wasn't amusing, I get it...

She choked up and said, "I don't want to get arrested today". You guys know him, he's never gonna stop. She added, "I went way too far".

Griffin's attorney, CNN notes, is known for representing such well-known clients as former Fox News contributor Wendy Walsh, one of the women who accused former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly of sexual harassment.

She said that the "death threats that I'm getting are constant and they are detailed they are serious and they are specific".

Malkin said it makes her blood boil to think about an innocent child being traumatized by such a "sick and vile image". She said she realized what the POTUS was trying to do when he brought up 11-year-old son Barron, who Trump alleged was traumatized by the bloody shot.
