HMD Global is betting heavily on the emotional connect that brand Nokia has had with the masses in the past to sell its new line of Android phones in India.

Nokia smartphones, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 have been launched in India today.

The Nokia 6, which is exclusively available on Amazon, is priced INR 14,999 ($233). For starters, Nokia has got its pricing right with the three phones spread in the affordable Rs 9,499-Rs 14,999 range.

Now, the Nokia 5 is a Mid-range smartphone with 5.2 inch IPS Display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage which is expandable.

Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch 2.5D curved HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. In terms of optics, the Nokia 6 features a 16-megapixel rear sensor with 1.0-micron pixels, f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), and dual-tone LED flash. The new Nokia 3 is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat and powered by 1.3 GHz Quad-core MTK 6737 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The internal memory of the Nokia 6 stands at 32GB and microSD card slot for expansion of up to 128GB.

"Nokia 3 is special and we strongly believe that a good design and specifications at a budget is something everyone deserves", the company said at launch. It comes packing 16GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The mobile has a 5.2-inch HD display with the Corning Gorilla Glass support and even this mobile has a comparable outside with an Aluminum unibody.

Other features include 2650mAh battery and 8-megapixel cameras on the front and back.

Launching the new Nokia phone Stateside is a big leap for any non-American company but you need to do it if you want to try and be successful. As a much-improved version of the original 3310, it is now equipped with a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash plus 16 MB of storage. The Nokia 6 runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery. On the back is a 13-megapixel camera and a 8-megapixel snapper adorns the front. Now, finally, the waiting coming to an end as HMD Global set to launch the three Android-powered smartphones in India tomorrow. The smartphone packs a 3000 mAh, and fingerprint sensor is embedded on the front. The phone sports WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and supports USB on-the-go as well. The phone is provided with 2630mAh battery. The smartphone sports a unimetal body design, same as the Nokia 6.

In India, HMD has partnered with 400 exclusive distributors reaching over 80,000 retail points.

The Nokia 9 is reportedly priced at $700.

The Nokia 6 is going to be available as a Dual SIM model in India and while there is a Dual speaker setup offered on the device, the Nokia 6 also has Dolby Atmos support.
