Coroner: Cocaine, heroin and ecstasy found in Carrie Fisher's system

Coroner: Cocaine, heroin and ecstasy found in Carrie Fisher's system”

A coroner has released further details on Carrie Fisher's autopsy report.

It's important to note that the report clearly states that while these drugs were in her system, there are "significant limitations in one's ability to interpret the toxicology results and their contribution to cause of death", meaning the coroner's office could not determine whether the drugs played a role in the passing of the "Star Wars" icon.

TMZ also reports that morphine, codeine and oxycodone were also found in Fisher's system.

"Ms. Fisher suffered what appeared to be a cardiac arrest on the airplane accompanied by vomiting and with a history of sleep apnea", the autopsy states.

Carrie Fisher's death will change the direction of "Star Wars: Episode IX".

He also said it wasn't surprising that "Carrie did drugs", he said.

Carrie Fisher's battle with drug addiction unfortunately never ended, but she was an incredibly fearless and valuable human being that used her struggle to help and inspire others.

Fisher long battled drug addiction and mental illness.

Fisher died on December 27, just a day before her mother, Debbie Reynolds, passed away.

She added: "She was purposefully open in all of her work about the social stigmas surrounding these diseases". It's also not known what the impact of the drugs had on her death, according to the Associated Press. "Seek help, fight for government funding for mental health programs". Shame and those social stigmas are the enemies of progress to solutions and ultimately a cure.

Fisher's brother Todd commented on the news as well, saying his sister's mental health "slowly but surely put her health in jeopardy over many, many years". "If you want to know what killed her, it's all of it", he said.
