Security services to review terror operations amid questions on London attackers”

As the Two-Way has reported, the three attackers opened their assault on London Bridge by ramming pedestrians, then left the vehicle on foot and began stabbing people in nearby Borough Market.

The self-styled "Islamic State" (IS) militant group claimed responsibility for the attack on Sunday.

A body recovered by police from the River Thames on Tuesday is believed to be that of French national Xavier Thomas, 45, who had not been seen since Saturday's terror attack on London Bridge.

A minute's silence was observed in Britain at 11 a.m. local time (1000 GMT) in memory of those killed during the attack.

Butt had appeared in a documentary "The Jihadis Next Door" and was known to investigators but police said he was not believed to be plotting an attack.

He was stopped in Italy previous year while trying to go to Syria, and Italian authorities tipped off Britain about his movements, the report said.

Zaghba visited her at her home near Bologna several times and in March 2016, after being stopped at Bologna airport, he was investigated for possible worldwide terrorist activity but released, according to the newspaper.

Police are continuing to search the properties.

French President Emmanuel Macron, meanwhile, said Wednesday that a third French victim has been identified among those killed.

Melissa McMullan only found out Monday the her brother was a victim, after his bank card was found on one of the bodies, D'Agata reports, and days after the attack, there are still a number of people who are missing or unidentified. He told the BBC: "People are going to look at the front pages today and they're going to say, 'How on earth could we have let this guy or possibly more through the net?'"

Corbyn's party colleague, London Mayor Sadiq Kahn, told Britain's Channel 4 News that the police force is underfunded. "But there weren't elements of proof that he was a terrorist".

Khan told British TV station Channel 4 on Monday evening: "I don't think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the U.S. in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for". You stand with them in times of adversity but you call them out when they are wrong.

Lewis Lukens, the acting US ambassador to the United Kingdom tweeted: "I commend the strong leadership of the mayor of London as he leads the city forward after this heinous attack".

White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Trump was not "picking a fight" with Khan and that it was "utterly ridiculous" that his criticism was because Khan is Muslim. Authorities have said the London attack was apparently unconnected to the Manchester bombing.

In a statement, they wrote: "As a family we are shocked and appalled by the actions of Khuram and his associates". All others who had been arrested have been released without facing charges.

Earlier, London police admitted that one of the other two attackers, Khuram Shazad Butt, was on their radar as a member of the outlawed radical Islamist group al-Muhajiroun, co-founded by notorious hate preacher Anjem Choudary.
