Kyrie Irving may push for trade if LeBron leaves Cavs

Kyrie Irving may push for trade if LeBron leaves Cavs”

"Jimmy wants to win, period".

Kyrie Irving and the Cavs lost to the Warriors in the 2017 NBA Finals, 4-1. According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, Irving has been contacting some of his former Team USA teammates, telling them that he will ask to be traded if James ops out after the coming season.

Cowley also said that Irving is interested in donning the Chicago Bulls uniform.

Kyrie Irving is reportedly making it known that he'd be willing to leave Cleveland if James does next summer.

Despite being the defending NBA Champions and running easily through the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers were torn apart in the NBA Finals by the Golden State Warriors.

James can opt of out of his contract following next season while Irving, who has spent his entire six-year career with the Cavaliers since being the No. 1 overall pick in 2011, is under contract through 2018-19 with a player option in 2019-20.

Butler averaged 23.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, including 4.5 defensive caroms, 5.5 assists and 1.9 steals, which shooting.455 from the field, .367 from three-point range and.865 at the free-throw line over 37.0 minutes in 76 games, 75 of which were starts. There are reports saying the playmaker plans to request a trade when James leaves Cleveland.

If that's not enough, sports journalists and analysts have been debating whether LeBron James needs to play for the Clippers or Lakers. They are still trying to move on from the heartbreak but are already facing a new ordeal. The Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers have been mentioned as teams with possible interest in Love. Irving's future may be uncertain at this point, but so is the future of the Cavaliers team. They managed to win a game handily in Cleveland during the NBA Finals and almost had a win in Game 3.

There's still potential there for the Cavaliers if management can bring in another All-Star, although the fact David Griffin left management doesn't help right now. The report added that a third team was imperative for a Jimmy Butler trade to come to fruition.

James can opt out of his contract next summer, and his departure would all but shut Cleveland's championship window, leaving teammates to decide between fight or flight.
