Sean Spicer May Get To Choose His Own Replacement If He Quits

Sean Spicer May Get To Choose His Own Replacement If He Quits”

Trump reportedly did not approve of Spicer's appearance during his first press briefing, and his look was sharpened after the president's critiques.

Spicer said that the daily briefing was "one aspect of what we do". I know there was some chatter today, I know the president has been on the phone extensively with the leader [Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)] and with key Senators.

Spicer responded, "I'm right here".

Trump's lawyer has said the president isn't under investigation and Trump has denied any collusion with Russian Federation. A reporter asked Spicer about this characterization, but did not get a response. "How do I ask some snarky question?' You can actually focus on the substance of the issues".

"Your whole job is speaking for the administration!" the host exclaimed. We have been meeting with potential people who may be of service to this administration. "And both are excellent choices because when asked about the job by reporters, Ingraham declined to comment, and in a phone call, Martosko said 'I can't hear you, ' and then hung up".

It hasn't yet been announced that Spicer has officially been promoted from press secretary to communications chief, but reports indicate the White House is actively re-evaluating Spicer's current role and even looking for communications department replacements.

Spicer also defended the decision to hold off-camera, non-recorded briefings, as he did yesterday. But outside of communications director Mike Dubke, the press office has not seen any departures. Trump has previously said that hacking the intelligence community has pinned on the Russian government could have been perpetrated by China or others.

Lewandowski admitted that the White House - dogged by controversies on a near daily basis - could use some help to get its message out more effectively.

He has been the subject of recurring skits by comic Melissa McCarthy on "Saturday Night Live" and his afternoon briefings have garnered strong ratings.
