Trump lashes out at Warren, calls her an 'overrated voice'

Three of them said they anxious it does not go far enough in repealing the ACA, known as Obamacare.

But the measure so far has failed to garner enough support to pass with only Republican votes - although the party has a majority in the Senate - after a handful of GOP lawmakers revolted. "Cassidy's public statements have raised the most concerns and objections about the bill that passed the House and he's been very clear in saying that he wants a bill that preserves coverage", Jan Moller, director of the Louisiana Budget Project, said Friday. "We have a few people that are I think, I could say modestly, they're not standing on the rooftops and screaming".

They say the GOP plan would mean fewer people with coverage and higher costs for many. That's because unanimous opposition is expected from Democrats in a chamber in which Republicans hold a narrow 52-48 majority.

"Of Louisiana's two senators, Sen".

"They did just fine", he said. The House bill also had a phase-in of sorts, because it had what amounted to a grandfather clause: It preserved the extra funding for people who had enrolled in the expansion for as long as they stayed on Medicaid.

Sen. Jeff Flake's home state of Arizona could lose at least $7.1 billion through 2026 under the Senate proposal to roll back former President Barack Obama's health care law. "I call her Pocahontas and that's an insult to Pocahontas".

But Merkley and political observers note that some of the timelines in the Senate version of the bill have been tweaked, in light of the election calendar.

Several Democrats said if the House version was "mean" - as President Donald Trump described it - then the Senate bill is "meaner".

"I don't think she has the kind of support that some people do", he said.

"And honestly, nobody can be totally happy", Trump said. Congress goes on recess on July 4.

Medicaid needs reform, he added, and the best place for that to happen is in the hands of individual states.

"I am very supportive of the Senate #HealthcareBill".

Many senators objected loudly to these changes, usually because their states were among those that expanded coverage, or because their states rely on Medicaid to finance treatment of raging opioid epidemics or both. "We want to let Harrisburg know we're going to stand up and fight for our community".

The cost to employers, which provide health coverage to more than 150 million workers and their families, could rise as hospitals and physicians try to make up for losses they incur caring for more uninsured patients.

"It's not fulfilling the promise to be a more generous bill", said Elaine Couture, CEO of Providence Health Services. John Cornyn of Texas said there is "a sense of urgency" to push forward but acknowledged the outcome is "going to be close".

Cornyn, who serves as the Senate's whip, made the remarks to reporters while attending the Koch network's donor retreat here in Colorado Springs.

"We have people who are working jobs who qualify for Medicaid simply because their yearly income is at such a level", she said.

The Senate bill, which GOP leaders unveiled Thursday, looks an very bad lot like the bill that the House passed in May.

'Well he used my term, mean, ' Trump said, before describing what he wants to see from the policy created to take the place of the Affordable Care Act. It would also slap annual spending caps on the overall Medicaid program, which since its inception in 1965 has provided states with unlimited money to cover eligible costs.

There are headlines out there claiming Paul is open to voting for a partial repeal of Obamacare. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and his colleagues are determined to get rid of it.

I would like to ask Bob Goodlatte, who voted for this inhumane bill, why he thinks this is fair?
