Host dad marries exchange student, then they sexually assault her sister: cops”

The Miami Herald reports that Dale Leary, 50, was first convicted in the 1980s when he broke into a woman's Coral Gables home, tied her up, and sexually assaulted her. Decades later, in 2012, Leary was somehow approved to be a host for a young foreign exchange student, Marta San Jose, 16 at the time. Once he had the girl in his home, he reportedly sexually abused her for numerous years.

Both Leary and San Jose were charged with a series of sex crimes.

.

Anyone with any information regarding Leary should contact the Miami Dade Police Department. He had been married to Claudia Leary for more than 10 years, according to the Herald. Foreign student exchange programs are managed by numerous outside companies and Miami-Dade police now do not know how many, if any, other students were placed in Leary's care.

San Jose, who is now 21, manipulated her younger sister into thinking she had been sexually assaulted by their parents to convince her to allow Leary to perform a vaginal examination "to prove she was sexually assaulted", according to arrest affidavits. High school exchange programs are accredited by the U.S. State Department, which requires that hosts provide a "safe and secure environment", according to its website. He pleaded guilty to the attack, spending 60 days behind bars and 13 years on probation, according to the newspaper.

It is then that Leary and San Jose began to sexually abuse her underaged sister - a traumatic experience that lasted for roughly two years.

Afterward, according to online records, he went on to found a branding and marketing company called Prodigy Professional Group.

Back in Spain, San Jose's parents and her younger sister were unaware of this turn of events. He seduced the foreign exchange student and eventually married her when she turned 18, after divorcing his wife for her.

Dale Leary and his wife hosted exchange student Marta San Jose, 16, when she moved to South Florida from Spain in 2012, local station WPLG reported. That is how he met Marta San Jose, a student from Spain. She claimed Leary and San Jose frequently had sex in front of her and would ask her to allow Leary to perform sex acts on her as a way to supposedly help her deal with being a victim of sexual abuse.

According to CBS Miami, San Jose's parents were unaware that she married Leary. They convinced her to join them in sex acts more than seven times.

The now 16-year-old told police that she was sexually abused by Leary over a period of years. On another occasion, they took photos of her wearing only high heels after supplying her with alcohol.

Charges of lascivious conduct with a minor, possession of child pornography, committing sexual acts with a sibling child, and leading a child to engage in unlawful acts, were brought against the couple.
