DG ISPR thanks 'Ronaldinho and Friends' for Pakistan visit”

Major General Asif Ghafoor, Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), on behalf of Pakistan Army has thanked Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho Gaúcho and his team for visiting Pakistan.

The forum reviewed geo-strategic security environment with focus on evolving situation in Middle East/Afghanistan and its implications on Pakistan, the ISPR said in a press release. He said sports promote peace and their visit is most welcomed by all Pakistanis especially young footballers.

The Pakistan army on Monday, thanked football legend Ronaldinho and the group of global football stars who accompanied the Brazilian for visiting Pakistan to take part in exhibition matches. They said Pakistan is a attractive country and they look forward to enjoy the trip.

Earlier, the army chief hosted receptions in honor of visiting football players.

World Group is the company behind UK-based Leisure Leagues, the sponsors of the event. Earlier, keen to shine a spotlight on the underrepresented footballing talent in Pakistan, Ronaldinho and five other worldwide football stars arrived in Islamabad on Saturday.
