'Bachelorette' Rachel Lindsay Reacts to Frontrunner Peter Not Being Ready for Marriage

'Bachelorette' Rachel Lindsay Reacts to Frontrunner Peter Not Being Ready for Marriage”

Still, Eric's family questioned Lindsay asking her, "What draws you to [Eric?]" And like we all predicted, Lindsay gets final approval from mom.

Rachel Lindsay visited her final four suitors Eric, Bryan, Peter, and Dean in their hometowns on Monday night's episode of "The Bachelorette" and had to decide which one of them to let go. And Lindsay discovered exactly why he's never brought a home girl before - apparently it's because Eric was a nerd and got straight A's in school instead.

The episode began with Rachel visiting Eric's family.

As Rachel explained to Chris Harrison, it hasn't always been easy for her to put herself first. Bryan's mom was moved to tears as she acknowledged how honest Rachel and Bryan's relationship is.

"I told you that I was falling in love with you and you said the same thing", said Dean, sounding exasperated. It's going to be so sad when Rachel sends him running in the opposite direction.

Another surprising hometown encounter came with Bryan's mother, who Lindsay learned played a key role in his last breakup.

Next was Bryan, whose Miami hometown date we were a little nervous about as he previously warned Rachel about how his last relationship crumbled after his girlfriend didn't get along with his mother. (Girl, run!) When they arrive Bryan's mom doesn't smile at her.

Date No. 3 with Peter: If it were up to a big chunk of Bachelor Nation, Peter would be the one left standing, or more accurately kneeling, at season's end.

Olga blinked back tears, his dad cleared his throat and there was an awkward silence that Bryan broke with a story about his first meeting with Rachel. (Rachel, leave now!) Bryan's mom sizes Rachel up and chugs some wine.

"I'm like, what are we doing here, you know?!" she adds. Rachel laughs, but mama has been watching a lot of Liam Neeson movies.

While it's clear that Rachel really, really likes kissing Bryan, Peter still has a few cards up his sleeve to prove that he is the flawless future husband.

"It really took me by surprise", she acknowledges."That was probably the most shocking thing from his hometown". Rachel, however, doesn't share the fantasy.

The way Peter dandled niece Charlotte on his knee had the kid-craving Rachel practically salivating. Next week its' the men under pressure as she introduces them to her own family.

Then there's Peter, who hails from Madison. Still, Peter and his mom dropped a bombshell. "I didn't realize he had harsh feelings about me, still", and cut their talk short, too, walking away. But, he didn't say the L word.

Rachel comforted Dean, who said he was falling in love with her, and she returned the sentiment.

We're here for you, Dean! Dean's father converted to Sikh after the death of Dean's mother and it appears to embarrass Dean. Dean hasn't seen his father in two years, a fact that the producers exploit to the fullest extent.

Rachel didn't think Dean was ready for marriage-and his bitter feud with his father had also clearly created a bad vibe! Dean confronted him about their past and Paramrup didn't understand why he was angry.

Dean and Rachel consoled each other while lying on the living room floor with hugs and a kiss and a confession that Dean was falling in love. Dean just can't though.

"You don't feel loved by your father, is that what you're saying?" said Paramroop. Most people don't relish the idea of spending what is basically their third date with a guy helping him navigate the deep rift in his family. Clearly, she's achieved quite a bit of success, and knows her worth.

Peter privately told the guys the prospect of proposing to Rachel was "terrifying". Bryan, once again was the first man called to accept a rose.
