Police officers and pilots cleared over helicopter sex footage

Police officers and pilots cleared over helicopter sex footage”

FOUR police helicopter crew members have been acquitted of misusing their vehicle to film naked sunbathers, naturists and swingers.

Matthew Lucas, 42, and Lee Walls, 47, who are both serving officers, and pilots Matthew Loosemore, 45, and Malcom Reeves, 64, had all denied charges of misconduct in a public office.

The footage also showed a couple having sex on their patio in July 2008 and at one point, the naked woman waved at the aircraft.

Prosecutors said Pogmore was "a swinging and sex-obsessed air observer" who knew the couple through the swingers' scene.

Pogmore was the only defendant present on all four occasions.

Four inappropriate videos were shot using a high-powered camera from a South Yorkshire Police helicopter - including an 11-minute clip of a man and woman having intercourse in a garden - over a five-year period.

His four colleagues testified that they didn't know what Pogmore was up to.

All the subjects of the videos, besides the couple filmed having sex, told the court they felt their privacy had been breached.

"Adrian Pogmore was dismissed from South Yorkshire Police in 2015, following an internal misconduct investigation".
