Calvin Harris Is Still The Highest Paid DJ In The World

Calvin Harris Is Still The Highest Paid DJ In The World”

This year's list of the highest paid DJs in the world has been revealed, with Calvin Harris topping the chart for the fifth year in a row. Harris' star-studded album features an abundance of collaborations - from Frank Ocean and Migos, to Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams - and debuted at No. 2 in the U.S., Harris' best stateside debut yet. Forbes reports the Scottish DJ and producer earned $48.5m in the 12 months between June 2016 and June 2017.

Harris's huge earnings put him comfortably atop Forbes' Electronic Cash Kings list for 2017. Fees for agents, managers, and lawyers are not subtracted. While there are no women on this year's list, and all 10 come from the USA or Northern Europe, age plays the single diversity factor as David Guetta, 49, takes the No. 7 spot, and 21-year-old Martin Garrix lands at No. 9. Tiesto comes in far below Calvin but still at #2 with $39 million. The real shock - or unfortunate news, depending on your personal opinions - is that jumping up to number three is The Chainsmokers, coming in at a cool $38 million.

At No. 8, the anonymous DJ Marshmello, who performs in a white mask, made $21 million though touring.

Others on the list such as the odd Marshmello, Skrillex, Diplo, Steve Aoki and of course David Guetta also brought in respectable earnings.
