MI projected for Holiday Bowl by CBS Sports' Jerry Palm

CBS Sports has announced its preseason bowl projections for the 2017 College Football Season.

Palm doesn't have MI in either the College Football Playoff, or in any of selection committee bowl games.

CBS has Alabama finishing the season with a No. 1 ranking and playing No. 4 Florida State in the Sugar Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff.

Palm is big on the Big Ten. He has Wisconsin headed to the Fiesta Bowl and Penn State in the Orange.

Regular-season opener Kent State was ranked No. 121 and regular-season finale foe, South Carolina, No. 42.

Indiana: Quick Lane Bowl vs.

If Ohio State makes it to where Palm predicts, that makes it two seasons in a row the Buckeyes make the national semifinals.

He notably does not have Oklahoma appearing in a New Year's Six bowl game.

The Michigan State-Army clash would be a rematch of sorts of the 1984 Cherry Bowl played at the Pontiac Silverdome, won by Army, 10-6.

Palm has Western Michigan taking on Middle Tennessee State in the Bahamas Bowl on December 22 in a rematch of the 2015 showdown won by the Broncos, 45-31.
