Everton agree £45m Gylfi Sigurdsson deal, medical to take place tomorrow”

Everton have (finally) agreed a deal worth up to £45m for Gylfi Sigurdsson.

But Everton are finally set to secure their No. 1 summer target at a price slightly lower than Swansea had wanted.

Sigurdsson played in all of the Swans' 38 Premier League fixtures last season, starting all but one of them.

According to Press Association, Sigurdsson will undergo a medical on Wednesday to complete his transfer to Goodison Park, which has dragged on for weeks.

The Welsh side are negotiating a £12m fee and Paul Clement also hopes to persuade West Bromwich Albion to sell Nacer Chadli.

With the deal expected to be done in the next 48 hours, Sigurdsson would be available for Everton's trip to face Manchester City on Monday, though whether Koeman would want to throw him straight in remains to be seen.

The 27-year-old has not featured for Swansea as negotiations with Everton have continued.

The midfielder scored nine goals and provided 13 assists last season to help Swansea beat the drop.

Koeman has spent £88.4m on Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Michael Keane and Sandro Ramirez - meaning the club are now up to £133.4m with their summer spending.
