British dual national child missing after Spain terror attacks says Theresa May”

SYDNEY seven-year-old Julian Cadman has been formally confirmed as one of the 14 people killed in a terrorist attack in Barcelona, Spain.

Among the 126 people injured in the twin attacks, 51 are still hospitalised, including 10 in a critical condition and 13 in a serious state.

Theresa May, the prime minister, spoke about the case after Julian's grandfather Tony Cadman, a British man living in Australia, appealed for information. "Pray for my nephew who still missing in Barcelona attack", his aunt, Maricar Querimit Estera, wrote on Facebook.

A police officer carried Jumarie into Fouad Bakkali's shop and lay her on the floor alongside another injured woman, reports news.com.au.

"Julian was a much loved and adored member of our family", they said in a statement.

This was thwarted after the house they were inhabiting exploded, destroying their equipment.

So far 12 victims have been identified, including one who was killed in a separate car-ramming attack in the city of Cambrils.

Victims of the attack in Barcelona have been identified as British/Australian, Italian, Portuguese, Belgian, Spanish, Spanish/Argentine, Canadian and American.

Californian Jared Tucker, 42, has been confirmed as among those killed in the deadly truck attack, according to his father Daniel. That attack left one person dead and 6 injured.

The Civil Safety Agency of Catalan confirmed to News Corp that little Julian was deceased. Speaking to the United Kingdom newspaper The Mirror, he said, "he was unconscious, his leg was bent the wrong way, there was blood coming out of his head, I knew it was more than blood".

In a statement, the family paid tribute to the "energetic, amusing and cheeky" boy and thanked everyone who helped them search for Julian after they appealed for help in finding him.

The youngest victim was three-year-old Spanish boy Javier Martinez, who was killed with his great-uncle, Francisco Lopez Rodriguez, 57. She told me he was seven years old, " a Mr Bakkali added.

In a statement, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said she was "deeply saddened" to confirm the boy's death.

His father and grandmother travelled to Spain from Australia following the attack.

The 40-year-old Argentine-Spanish dual citizen had lived in Barcelona for the last 10 years, Argentina's Foreign Ministry said.

He said no new attacks were imminent, the country's terrorist threat alert will be maintained at level four, and security at popular events and tourist sites around the country will be reinforced.
