Fancy Bears Hack Group Names 200 Footballers Having Positive Doping Tests”

This is the first time Fancy Bears have released details about football, having previously released medical records of athletes.

The third document is entitled "TUE and DoU Overview for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa" and contains the names of 25 players and the drugs they have allegedly been permitted to use while at the tournament.

Wada's general secretary Olivier Niggli said previous year he had no doubt the attacks on the anti-doping agency were carried out in retaliation for its uncovering of Russian state-sponsored doping across the vast majority of Olympic and Winter Olympic sports.

Files from the World Anti-Doping Agency were made available to download online today, with the group pledging to "dispel the myth about doping free football".

The list reportedly includes Argentinian footballers Diego Milito, Carlos Tevez, Gabriel Heinze, Slovakian Martin Jakubko, Germany's Mario Gomez and Dennis Aogo, Italian Mauro Camoranesi, Dutchman Dirk Kuyt and several other players from Greece, Algeria, the US.

The Fancy Bears' latest hack also included an email from the FA's head of integrity, Jenni Kennedy, to world governing body Federation Internationale de Football Association regarding four anti-doping cases in May.

No England players were listed and there is no suggestion of wrongdoing on the part of those named.

While there's no indication that any of the players had broken any doping rules, the Fancy Bears hack team said in a statement that it's clear football is not a doping-free sport.

Fancy Bears first hacked WADA files in September previous year.

The country with the most TUEs shown on the documents is Argentina, with five players named.

Mario Gomez: Germany global striker needed salbutamol, which is a common asthma medication.

Wiggins insisted the use of the corticosteroid was medically necessary due to a pollen allergy that aggravated his asthma.

Two cases are ongoing involving a pair of non-league players, who it is said tested positive for the anabolic steroid oxandrolone in out of competition tests.
