UAB Football wins first game since 2015, sets attendance record

UAB Football wins first game since 2015, sets attendance record”

It took 1,007 days, countless protests and fundraisers but the UAB football program finally returned to action Saturday, and the Blazers made the most of it. The Blazers then sat out the 2015 and 2016 seasons in order to rebuild their roster.

Nose tackle Anthony Rush showed off his secondary skills as well, pawing the ball down before turning the after-burners on, going 27 yards to the house.

The Alabama A&M Bulldogs lose to the UAB Blazers at Legion Field in the Blazer's first game since their program was disbanded. UAB's AJ Erdley scored from one yard out on the opening drive.

At halftime, the Blazers lead the Bulldogs with a score of 10-7. The increase apparently caught some fans off guard, as cars were still lined up outside the stadium for almost a mile at kickoff.

A&M will play Vanderbilt and UAB will travel to Ball State on September 9.

ALABAMA A&M: Plays at Vanderbilt, the second of three consecutive road games to start the season.
